The body of the driver who drowned in River Mbogolo has been retrieved.

The late Kahindi Charo and his two colleagues were involved in an accident on Wednesday last week, after their vehicle veered of the road and plunged into the river.

His body was recovered on Thursday by divers after an 18-hour search.

According to the divers, the body had been trapped by rocks.

“It had been trapped by huge boulders on the riverbed,” said Edward Kahindi, as quoted by The Star.

It is reported that divers had to perform rituals to prevent any disasters.

They “talked to Charo’s spirits not to disturb them at night”.
