The body of a 38-year-old man was found decomposing inside a uncompleted septic tank in Matuu town, Yatta sub-county, Machakos county.
This incident was confirmed by Yatta police boss Edward Kipsang who observed that police were notified about the body by members of the public.
The officer noted that the body has not been identified yet where he called upon members of the public to help the police identify it.
Changach said that with the help of the residents, the police were able to retrieve the body which had already started decomposing.
"I would wish to urge anyone with information that could help the police identify the body to report to the nearest police station," said Changach.
The body of the man was taken to City mortuary for preservation awaiting identification.
