The body of a 40-year-old man was discovered by herders on Thursday morning dangling on a tree at a bush near his home at Matata village in Solai sub-county. Peter Kipkorir, who was said to have been mentally ill, was found dead after he had gone missing for two days. According to the area police boss Mark Ambani, Kipkorir was mentally disturbed and could have unintentionally committed the act. He said herders stumbled on his body before reporting the matter to his relatives. Police later ferried the body to the Nakuru General Hospital for postmortem. “According to statements made by relatives, police believe that the deceased was a mentally disturbed person and could have committed suicide out of his will,” said the police boss, adding that police were still carrying out more investigations into the incident.
