According to a police source, the badly decomposed body which had strangulation marks was found by early morning passersby who informed police at Ruiru.

The body was identified by relatives as that of Peter Murithi a transporter who was allegedly abducted by unknown persons who had posed as customers on Thursday last week.

Family members told the press that they have been searching for their kinsman since Thursday and that his vehicle was recovered on Friday last week in a house within the Guango gated community in Ruaka.

Area OCPD Isaac Thuranira confirmed that the body was that of the victim who went missing last week and that they were holding a suspect for questioning.

Relatives further told the press that within the suspects’ compound two other vehicles including a numberless Prado and a Subaru legacy were recovered.

The body was moved to Kenyatta University Mortuary.

Police are still holding the owner of the house for questioning. The vehicles were also towed to Ruiru police station.
