Bogichora residents in Nyamira County have accepted the results from Tuesday's mini-poll that ODM's candidate pulled a huge win .
George Morara Abuga, an accountant,was yesterday night declared the winner with 3,574 votes with his closest Challenger garnering 1,831 votes.
The ward failed to have an election on August 8th's General elections after Jubilee's favourite candidate passed away.
The MCA seat attracted seventeen contestants who eyed the 19,430 votes of registered voters -But only 57.57 percent turned up to vote.
Daniel Ongaki,a resident of Bogichora,has lauded the exercise terming the win as 'timely'.
"I thank IEBC for conducting a fair,transparent exercise,that saw my favourite candidate win.George's win is timely and long overdue," he said.
"We have to accept the voice of the majority.My candidate lost fairly and George is now our MCA.We only need peace and progress for our ward,'said Bernard,a resident in the ward.
Peter Nyandega, who came third with 1,167 votes has also accepted the poll results and pledged to support the winner.
"Bogichorians, you have spoken loud and clear. I will support the winner of the just concluded by election without hesitation. I beseech my team to follow lead so that we can move our ward forward together," he said.
