According to Boinnet, the police are just imolementing the law.

“Nobody is using the police to harass anybody for that matter,” the IG said.

He made it clear that Joho like any other Kenyan, was not above the law.

“All we do as police is to enforce the law as it is. So if you fall afoul of the law whoever you maybe, then you face the consequences,” he affirmed.

Governor Joho has lately had a strained relationship with security apparatus in what has largely been seen as a move to tame him politically after his fallout with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Joho is also facing imminent charges if it is established that he forged his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education to enable him to pursue a degree.

On Monday, Joho admitted he got a D minus in KCSE and was proud of it.
