This is the second time in one week that the police boss has been on the spot after Chief Justice David Maraga alleged that Boinnet ignored to pick his calls when the judiciary was under attack by protestors.
Joining in the list of complainant is controversial businessman Jimmy Wanjigi who has claimed that Boinnet ignored his calls after he reported that his life was in danger.
Through his lawyer Elizabeth Karoki, Wanjigi claimed that some unknown vehicles have been trailing him day and night and he reported the matter at Gigiri police station.
Wanjigi says despite sending a letter to Boinnet and also receiving more directives from the DPP office nothing has been done to secure him.
"To date, the IG has ignored and/or fail to respond and acknowledge our letter despite the urgency called for," reads Wanjigi's letter.
Reliable source claims that Wanjigi has since changed his residence, vehicle, and the time he leaves his office.
