Inspector General of Police Joseph Bonnet has eulogised the late Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Boinnet.

Speaking on Wednesday, Boinnet said that Nkaissery was a father figure.

The IG remembered the CS as a leader who firmly defended the Police Service from all manner of criticism.

"He undertook his duties seriously and wanted the Police Service to be a world class institution in providing security to citizens," he said.

Boinnett was speaking when a delegation from the Interior Ministry went to condole with Nkaissery’s family at their Karen home.

Nkaissery died on Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack.

He will be buried on 15th July in Kajiado.
