Bomachoge Borabu MP Joel Onyancha has urged residents to embrace day secondary schools.
Onyancha said this will help to enhance area schools perfomance.
He noted that majority of the residents in his constituency dismiss day secondary schools.
“According to satatistics day secondary schools perform well like their boarding counterparts in national examinations,” said Onyancha.
Speaking at Endereti COG Mixed Secondary School Onyancha said that day secondary schools are affordable compared with boarding schools.
“These schools get subsidies from the government plus their fee is low since they do not have a lot of needs,” notes Onyancha.
"Unlike in the past when our poor parents struggled to pay school fees for us in harambee secondary schools; for now parents can pay school fees at ease since it has been subsidised,” said Onyancha.
