A group of students from Bomachoge-Chache constituency have a reason to smile after receiving sponsorships that will enable them complete their higher education successfully.
Yesterday at a colorful ceremony in Mash Park hotel, flamboyant businessman Mathew Oigara said the move ia aimed at helping young brilliant minds in colleges to complete their education without going through difficulties.
“I chose to help this young people from my constituency to that to end the narrative of lack of school fees. It is a sad thing to have some of them missing exams yet there is someone who can offload their parents,” he said.
He said he will soon identify students with similar needs and help them without and discrimination or biases.
"I know we have a number of them going through the same predicament. I will soon identify them and help them without any prejudice,” he said.
Oigara urged those in charge of constituency kitty to treat all residents equally and avoid discriminating them according to the clans they come from.
“The issue of clanism is null and void. All constituents are equal hence some should not be ignored for coming from a certain clan. It is not one's choice to belong to a particular clan he said.
He urged beneficiaries not to forget their background whenever in school and work hard for their own good and future.
“It’s sometimes annoying that some of you tend to forget where you come from. Try to work hard in college and achieve your education objectives,” he added.
The 15 beneficiaries were chosen from various wards in the constituency and are currently studying in various institutions across the country.
