There has been a bomb scare reported at the Canadian High Commission.
This has been confirmed by Gigiri OCPD, Vitalis Otieno.
The Bomb Disposal Unit has already arrived at the scene. Limuru Road has now been blocked due to the scare.
A parcel was left outside the commission and is believed to have explosives. The parcel was dropped off from a van and spotted by a cleaner who reported the incident.
The content of the parcel is yet to be confirmed by the head of the unit, Eliud Lagat.
Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome has asked for residents to be calm as the matter is being handled.
"We are at the embassy with sniffer dogs and bomb experts. We are working towards unraveling what exactly happened," he said.
People in the embassy have been evacuated for the police to conduct their work.
