Nakuru county government is from next week set to commence the renovation of Bondeni Maternity as a way of improving service.
Speaking to media on Tuesday at his office, Nakuru Health Chief Officer Dr.Samuel Mwaura hinted that the county government has already given out tender concerning the renovation.
"As we talk now the contractor will be on the ground any time from next week at the Bondeni maternity to commence the renovation.This is a facility that is paramount to this county when it comes to matters of health and therefore we must ensure it is in good state,"he said.
He said most residents prefer the facility due to good services.
"I must bring to your attention that Bondeni Maternity is situated in Nakuru East Sub county but it serves almost all the sub counties.Women come all the way from Molo to receive services here and this is due to quality services provided," said Mwaura.
The officer also revealed that the county government of Nakuru is in the process of ensuring more staff at the Langalanga health facility.
