Residents of Bondeni Estate in Nakuru town have dismissed off the research that rated the estate as the most insecure in the country.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting Nakuru County Commissioner Mohammed Birik on Friday, the residents said that the research was baseless and cannot be supported by facts.
They also questioned why research conductors did not come on the ground to seek one on one answer with the locals.
While reiterating their commitment to upholding peace, the residents challenged those who conducted the research to prove that those who conducted the research to prove that they interviewed were real Bondeni or Nakuru residents.
''Bondeni is a cosmopolitan estate although the Muslim Community forms the biggest per centage of the population we live in harmony,'' said Moha, a resident.
Area MCA Stephen Kuria Muiruri said that the governor has installed high mast lights in the area through the slum upgrading programme a move he said has led to improved security in the area.
''Bondeni has remained one of the safest areas in Nakuru town considering that Bondeni Police Station is located within the Estate as well as Administration Police lines,'' said Kuria.
