Activist Boniface Mwangi has drummed up support for Kwale County Women rep Zuleikha Hassan's bill proposal to ammend NHIF Act.
According to Mwangi, all MPs should support the bill and President Uhuru Kenyatta should sign the bill into law to have all public servants be treated in public hospitals in the country.
The activist wants the president to be among those who receive treatment in the country in case of any sickness.
"This is a very important bill by @Mpzuleikahassan that all MPs should support and @UKenyatta must sign into law. All public officials should be treated in public hospitals that includes the president. @kmpdu @fnoluga," tweeted Mwangi on Tuesday.
In the Bill, Hassan wants the NHIF Act to have a mandatory requirement that all public servants be treated in public hospitals due to the continued dwindling of public health services in the country.
In a letter dated March 31 and addressed to the National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi, Hassan further believes such a move will have the hospitals better equipped and better staffed.
The Kwale legislator has called on the preparation of the proposal that will go ahead to ensure leader constantly scrutinize the Health sector in the country which she believes is a crucial one.
