Human rights activist Boniface Mwangi continues to push buttons and on Wednesday, he embarrassed a politician driving on the wrong side of the road.
The Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon, KBW 491H, belongs to Mwingi West MP Bernard Kitungi according to information circulated by NTSA.
The incident occurred when Mwangi, driving alongside NTV news anchor Larry Madowo, met the politician driving against oncoming traffic along Parliament Road.
Kitungi’s car was heading from Parliament towards Uhuru Highway driving on the right-hand side instead of the left.
It is not clear if the MP was in the heavily tinted vehicle at the time the incident.
The activist is then heard ordering the driver to respect the law and reverse.
“Why are you on the wrong side? Reverse the car because you won't pass through this side. Who are you? We pay your salaries and yet you disobey traffic rules. No one is special because laws should apply to everyone,” he stated.
An ambulance blaring its siren also blocked the road forcing the vehicle to reverse and join the heavy traffic.
"Apparently, blocking the politician was not enough to stop him from flouting traffic rules as he proceeded to use the wrong side of the road after Larry drove off," Madowo said after the altercation.
The MP's driver wanted Madowo to pave way for him to pass despite being on the wrong side of the road.
Mwangi and Madowo stood their ground maintaining that they would not allow the Wiper MP to break the law.
