Activist Boniface Mwangi has hit out at businessman Chris Kirubi for allegedly being responsible for the downfall of certain companies in the country.
In a series of tweets on Thursday under the #AskKirubi hashtag, the activist alleged that Kirubi 'stole' from public companies and used the money to build a mall and the 'destructive' coal plant in Lamu.
In a photo accessed by Business Today on Thursday showed a rather frail and weak Kirubi who has been receiving treatment sice November last year.
"Stole from public companies, Kenatco, Uchumi and then destroyed them, used some of that money to build a mall in a wetland, now funding the construction of a destructive coal plant in beautiful LAMU but that money is useless now because it won’t buy you good health," read one of Mwangi's tweet.
Mwangi further remarked that he has no compassion for any individual that steals from public coffers.
According to Mwangi, stealing from public coffers leads to destruction of marriages, loss of property among other consequences.
"I have ZERO compassion on people who steal from public coffers and destroy lives. Marriages dissolved, people lost property, loved ones, children dropped out of school after breadwinners lost jobs in Kenatco and Uchumi. Economic thieves should rot in jail and hell. Amen," added Mwangi.
