Activist Boniface Mwangi has hit on president Uhuru Kenya over his late response to the tragic Solai dam three days after the horrific incidence and asking for Kenyans to contribute towards the aid of the affected.
Through his twitter handle, the activist also asked the president to hand over the country to the red cross saying that the Kenyan Red Cross is more efficient than the jubilee government
“I see President Uhuru Kenyatta has woken up and tweeted about the Nakuru dam tragedy, 3 days late. He is asking us to contribute to @KenyaRedCross and in the same spirit, can he just hand over the country to the Red Cross to run it for a while,” posted Mwangi on Saturday adding that, “They are more efficient than this government.”
This comes after the head of state asked the country to pray for the victims after the Solai dam burst its banks and contribute toward the humanitarian activities to help them.
“Asking every citizen of our nation to remember the victims of these floods in prayer and let your prayers move you to action. Reach out to those who have suffered. Contribute to @KenyaRedCross and to the other honest institutions which have done so much to being relief,” twitted president Kenyatta.
