Activist Boniface Mwangi has weighed in on the ongoing debate about the truce between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga.
Mwangi believes the handshake is only meant to benefit Raila and that is why he (Raila) cannot translate to his supporters what the handshake stands for.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Mwangi further chastised Raila as his truce with the government has left him 'speechless' on the ongoing disregard of the Constitution.
"Raila Odinga shook hands and can’t translate to his supporters what that handshake means. Word on the street is that Raila is the only beneficiary of the handshake, that’s why he cannot face millions who believed and voted for him," reiterated Mwangi.
He added, "Raila shook hands with Uhuru Kenyatta, demobilised his supporters and now he doesn’t appear to have any form of direction. He can’t order his troops. He can’t call for a mass protest to send a strong statement that Uhuru is breaking the Constitution."
The activist also believes Kenyans made a mistake in the August 2017 elections as they voted in flower boys and girls who cannot speak against the breaking of the Constitution.
"I am laughing at Kenyans who voted for flower boys and girls as members of parliament. Those flower boys and girls are escorting Uhuru as his government breaks the Constitution," Mwangi further remarked.
