After losing to Jubilee's Charles Njagua in the Starehe MP race during the just concluded general elections, Boniface Mwangi has penned an open letter to supporters and residents of the constituency.

Here is the letter extracted from The Standard:

"There is so much that will be said about our campaign. One of the greatest things that we achieved was that it was wholly funded by you, the people. My campaign was made possible by your love, support and donations. All the money donated, from as little as 10 shillings, contributed to making our campaign a great success. I have a summary of how we spent the money. A more detailed expenditure report will be shared after an audit. I sincerely thank all of you who donated both in cash and in kind. We have changed how campaigns are done in this country.

We may not have won, but our impact will be felt for many elections to come. We are the movement that will take back our country and give it to the people. We have shown that our country is ready for a different and more inclusive kind of politics. We did not enter this race only for the position and that is why when others opt to wait until the next election, we are rolling up our sleeves to hold our leaders accountable to their promises."
