Maize traders in Pondamali trading center have a reason to smile following the good sales of the produce at the center.
Speaking to this Hivisasa writer on Monday, the businessmen who deal in the selling of green maize said that the venture had began showing prospects of success after what they termed as hard times when they hardly made any sales.
"Initially, it was a bit difficult to make sales owing to the December festivities however currently we are not doing so badly," said Timothy Kibet, a trader.
The farmers transport green maize to the market from where they sell them at different prices depending on the size.
