Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi inspected the ongoing construction of a medical dispensary in Jimba village, Rabai, which is being funded by Koins For Kenya Foundation.
Koins for Kenys is a non-profit organization that focuses on many issues including addressing the health needs of small, rural villages in Kenya.
Flanked by Rabai Member of Parliament William Kimoti, Ruruma ward MCA Tsuma Jana and the county's Director of Health Services Dr. Bilal Mazoya, the DG said the dispensary would be complete and officially handed over to the County’s Department of Health on the April 30, 2018.
"The department of health will thereafter be responsible for maintain the facility, staffing and providing the necessary requirements that a dispensary needs to operate," he said on Saturday.
The MP said the dispensary would significantly reduce the distance covered by the residents of the village in search for health care.
