Tana River Governor Hussein Dado has received a major boost as we head to the next general election after two of his rivals made a U-turn and agreed to rally the electorate behind him. Galole MP Hassan Dukicha and his Bura counterpart Ali Wario have assured the incumbent governor they will camp in different parts of the county until he retains his seat. The two legislators, who belong to the Orma community just like Dado, had been at the forefront of criticising Dado's administration over alleged failure to keep his pre-election pledges.Wario confirmed that they had met with the governor on several occasions, adding that he will work with him.“I might have in the past opposed him, and I had reasons for doing that. But now we have resolved the underlying issues and we are in one party seeking to deliver,” he said, as quoted by The Star. Dukicha, who defected from Wiper to join Jubilee, has also assured the county boss of his support as he looks forward to beating his opponents with a huge margin. The governor has exuded confidence that he will beat his rivals come August.
