[Photo: Courtesy]Bomet governor Isaac Ruto has received a major boast as he seeks to secure a second term in office in the August 8, polls.This is after the fifth Nasa co-principal and CCM party leader was crowned the Kipsigis community spokesperson.During Nasa rally at the Bomet green stadium, Saturday, Kipsigis Clans Association chairman Joseph Kimeto led fellow elders to install governor Ruto, as Kipsigis spokesperson.This symbolised that they had as well endorsed him as the county's next governor.Ruto vowed to lead Kipsigis community in the South Rift region, to Nasa, saying it will be a government that will address their plight.His crowning could spell doom for Deputy President William Ruto's popularity in the region, given that he is perceived the Rift Valley political kingpin.This means the region and support Ruto enjoys is now split.The DP faces opposition in his Rift Valley region, from KANU chairman Baringo senator Gideon Moi, and governor Ruto.
