President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party received a major boost after Kisii County Women Representative Mary Otara formally joined the camp.
Otara’s move comes barely a day after she accused the ODM leadership in the region for allegedly sidelining her from major political activities.
“I am happy that I have finally come to where I feel loved and appreciated. It is sad that people can be so thankless after all these years,” she told her supporters.
The first time MP further said: “I will defend my seat on Jubilee and I am confident that I will deliver victory. It is a game of numbers and I fully trust my supporters.”
She was received by Jubilee leadership in Gusii lead by Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong’i, Senator Chris Obure and a host of other party officials.
Significantly, her fallout with ODM was precipitated by entry of nominated Senator Janet Ong’era, a senior ODM member in the Women Representative race.
