President Uhuru Kenyatta is today (Friday) taking his Jubilee Party campaigns to Bomet County.
This is after he completed his tour of the neighbouring Kericho county, with both, lying in South Rift, of the larger Rift Valley region.
Accompanied by his deputy William Ruto, Uhuru knocks doors in the county whose governor dumped the Jubilee camp, for the Opposition's Nasa.
Isaac Ruto, a strong opponent of William Ruto, formed the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), which seeks to beat Jubilee in Bomet, Kericho, Narok and other Rift Valley Counties, in the upcoming August 8 polls.
The party has filled candidates across the region, with aims of popularising Nasa, which aims to take over the Rift Valley.
Uhuru and Ruto have a Jubilee candidate who seeks to unseat governor Ruto. Sotik MP, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso, is optimistic of sending the fifth Nasa co-principal, home, after she clinched the Jubilee candidature during April primaries.
Laboso has been leading anti-Ruto and Nasa campaigns in Bomet, asking residents to support Kenyatta's re-election.
In today's tour, Jubilee visits Mgogosiek, Sigor, Chemaner, Kaplong, Chebole, Sotik, and finally Bomet town, where a public rally will be held.
