Journalist Mohamed Ali's quest for the Nyali parliamentary seat has received a major boost following an endorsement by a section of sheikhs and Ustadhs.
In an event held at Masjid Aman, Frere Town, the religious leaders promised to throw their weight behind the former KTN Investigative Editor in his bid to succeed MP Hezron Awiti.
In return, Ali promised to involve all religious leaders in key decision making processes in the constituency if elected during the august 8 polls.
According to the veteran Journalist, the composition of his CDF board will reflect the face of the constituency with all stakeholders brought to board to help in the running of the constituency affairs.
While promising to spur development, Ali who rose to fame for his Jicho Pevu investigative series promised empower the residents of the constituency and fight drug menace.
Ali's fiercest rival in the race is ODM's Said Abdalla who won in the controversial party nominations in April.
