Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga says that his Progressive Party of Kenya (PPK) will back the much touted political alliance dubbed National Super Alliance ( NASA) during 2017 polls.

Akaranga also said he will push for Amani National Congress Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi to be the coalition's's flag bearer.

"Mudavadi is a strong presidential candidate and we will push he is nominated NASA's flag bearer for the opposition to defeat Jubilee," said Akaranga. 

He urged other leaders from the Luhya community to support Musalia, saying he was the most suited to clinch power in the forthcoming elections. 

Top opposition leaders have hinted at uniting in NASA in a bid to oust President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto from office in 2017 polls.

Among them include Raila Odinga (ODM), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) and  Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper).
