Confirming the new development, Muslim Association Secretary General Sheikh Said Abdalla said that around 70, 000 registered have been longing for leaders who can transform their lives and Kavindu is the among them.
Abdalla said that Kavindu, who hit the headlines after being cleared to contest for the seat on Jubilee ticket, has what it takes to become the next woman rep of the area.
Kavindu is set to lock horns with Dr. Susan Musyoka, an independent candidate when that time comes.
The aspirant has promised to change the lives of the electorate if she is given the chance to become the next woman rep. She has pledged to protect the rights of women, youths and disabled groups if she ascends to power.
The women rep hopeful is banking on the support of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto to win the seat. She has been heaping praise on Uhuru for supporting women into politics in the last four years.
