Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader Dr Alfred Mutua has reaped big once again after another aspirant from Central Kenya joined his camp ahead of the August polls as political re-alignments continue to take shape.
Kanja Muchina, who is eyeing the Nyandarua Governorship, has announced his plans to join Mutua’s party as he looks forward to a win in the forthcoming general poll.
In an exclusive interview with the Star, Muchina, who is a former Nyandarua county secretary, siad that he opted to work with Machakos Governor because his party has gained a national outlook, adding that he is sure of a win when that time comes.
“We all support the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta. Chap Chap has an agenda and development history,” Muchina said, as quoted by the Local Daily.
The aspirant pledged to construct roads, empower business owners as well as improve the education sector if he ascends to power come August. He also said that he will clean up the county government if he is elected the next boss.
“We will first audit all the county government assets and liabilities so we start on a clean sheet,” Muchina said.
