Machakos governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has received a major boost in his quest to improve the living standards of the residents after his cabinet approved several projects.
According to the county boss, the cabinet has given him a green in bursary, factory, and Machakos new city projects.
The governor said that he is happy after the new development, adding that Sh. 25 million has been allocated towards funding the bursaries in the county.
“The Machakos County Government Bursary Program has been approved by Cabinet.The program has also received 25 million as interim funding to be used pending approval by the County Assembly” he said through his Facebook account.
The governor also said that he is optimistic that the members of the county assembly will approve the different projects before he gets started in time. He called upon the MCAs to work with speed in order for the local residents to start reaping from the fruits of devolution.
“We look forward to the County Assembly's fast approval of the programs that will ensure implementation begins immediately so that mwananchi begins to benefit from these programs as soon as possible” he added.
