The Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has threatened to join the anti-IEBC protests called by Opposition coalition NASA.
According to KUPPET National chair Omboko Milemba, the weekly protests are aimed at stopping Jubilee from amending electoral laws.
Milemba, who is also Emuhaya MP noted that the raft of amendments proposed by Jubilee are unconstitutional, and are geared towards dividing the country.
"We need to oppose these laws as they will affect everyone," he noted.
"President Uhuru is applying to ensure that anybody in the corridors of IEBC and Judiciary can announce and swear him in as the president without Chebukati and Maraga," he added.
The lawmaker further challenged teachers to champion for what is right and just in the society.
On their part, Jubilee has defended the amendments, asserting that they are aimed at sealing loopholes in the Elections Act.
