[Photo|Governor Wilberforce Otichillo]Vihiga Governor Wilberforce Otichillo met with the Director General Kenya School of Government (KSG) Dr Ludeki Chweya and Administration Manager Agnes Laikera in his office on Friday.The meeting aimed to ensure that they finalize on plan to set up KSG campus in Boyani, Central Maragoli ward, Vihiga County. In attendance were MCA Central Maragoli Evans Chunguli accompanied by the community chairperson Julius Mahagwa Ombeva and his secretary Rev Joash Aluda who gave their consent for the project to proceed based on the benefits that the community will enjoy (KSG ambulance that will serve the community, employment, spark in the areas economy etc). Maiyo Thomas from the National Lands Commission was also present to illuminate on the requirements for the 99 year land lease the County Government of Vihiga will extend to KSG for the establishment of the institution. "KSG campus in Vihiga County will be the 6th campus from the institution, that will serve the western and nyanza blocks, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Kericho & Narok counties," revealed the governor.Given that KSG now offers capacity building courses internationally, the campus also opens up the county to the international community.KSG is an institution established through an act of parliament that offers Capacity building, Consultancy and Advisory Services to Government(s).Construction of the facility is expected to kick off by April this year.
