ODM leader Raila Odinga received a major boost in his Gusii campaigns after two political protagonists agreed to put aside their differences for the sake of the party.

Gusii region has been earmarked by Jubilee strategist a tossup and President Uhuru Kenyatta camped in the vote rich region last week.

And Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire along with Governor John Nyagarama on Friday agreed to work together to deliver votes for Odinga.

“The interest of the party comes first and we cannot disagree all the time. We have to deliver presidency as a team,” said Bosire on Sunday.

“In politics we do not have to disagree all the times. Sometimes we sacrifice our ego for the sake of unity,” added Nyagarama.

Over the last four years, Bosire has been leading an anti-Nyagarama crusade in the region despite having no interest in governorship.

Although the two leaders agreed to campaign for ODM, Bosire remained tight lipped on whether or not he will support Nyagarama’s reelection.
