A rather non-committal Paul Otuoma maintains that he is still a supporter of ODM party, months after he resigned following the contested Busia county party primaries.
Otuoma had challenged the victory of Sospeter Ojamoong before bolting out of the party he helped form a decade ago.
In an interview with KTN news, Otuoma took a swipe at top ODM officials and vindicated party leader Raila Odinga in the process.
“Despite what happened, I still hold ODM party dear in my heart. I was the founding member and I have nothing against party leader Raila Odinga,” said Otuoma.
He added: “I have never worked with Jubilee and even if I left ODM, most of my supporters belong to ODM. I am a follower and I don’t see myself quitting soon.”
The former Funyula MP has vowed to give Ojamoong a run for his money and subsequently challenged Odinga to concentrate on presidency.
Until his resignation, Otuoma served as National Vice Chairman, a post he held for two years since his appointment by Mr. Odinga in 2014.
