They said they have been duped over the 2022 general election.

They presented themselves at Orange House in Nairobi saying they feel shortchanged by the current regime, and utterances by senior Jubilee politicians that they will not support DP William Ruto come the 2022 general election.

Members of the group led by Kalenjin Association vice chair Robert Cheruiyot said, they do not want to be hurt anymore..

"We must choose to stand up and be counted. We want to be on the right side of history," he said at the meeting with senior ODM officials.

Cheruiyot said they will mobilise support for CORD leader Raila Odinga in Rift Valley ahead of the August 2017 General Elections.

" In the past month, the Kalenjin community has been left in a state of suspended animation with regard to the political future of the community," he added.

The move will likely boost the opposition coalition, CORD, ahead of the forth coming general polls.

They were welcomed by ODM political affairs secretary Opiyo Wandayi.
