Kisii county assembly on Wednesday anonymously approved 10 nominees appointed by governor James Ongwae to the positions of chief officers.

This came after the appointment committee vetted the new team and said they were suitable for the posts. The assembly leader of Majority Timothy Ogugu said the vetting process was fair.

Ogugu added that the new team will perform to develop the county.

"We have no doubt because the team on board will perform to achieve the desired development in the county," said Ogugu.

He asked the new officers to serve the local with integrity saying they risk sack even if their term expires if they will under perform.

"Any officer will be involved in corruption and in any activities that will derail development in the county will be sacked and replaced immediately," he threatened.
