NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga's campaign team is set to receive a major boost following Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's latest decision.

Speaking on Saturday at Jomvu's Bangladesh slums where he took ODM campaigns, Joho said he will bring his re-election campaigns to a close at the end of this week and join Raila's campaign team. The outspoken Governor exuded confidence that he will retain his seat, adding that he will now focus his attention on ensuring Raila emerges victorious in the August elections."I want to finish my campaigns in Mombasa this coming week. Next week, I will go to Western Kenya, Nyanza, North Eastern and Eastern to ensure that our people come out in large numbers and vote for Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka," Joho told a charged crowd. However, he cautioned his fellow ODM candidates and supporters to ensure that no any other party gains ground in the county during the period which he will be away from the local political scene."Lakini nawaomba mnilindie hapa Mombasa. Nisije nikaenda huko mkaacha wengine waje wachezecheze hapa," he added amid cheers from the crowd.Joho's move is expected to boost Raila’s campaign during the last week of intense campaigns, considering the Governor’s new-found fame and popularity in the Kenyan political scene which has made him become a darling of the crowd.
