A section of leaders from Ukambani has assured National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga of their support after the formation of a resistance movement.

Led by Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, the leaders said that the region is still an opposition stronghold despite several leaders claiming that Jubilee has taken over the post.

Speaking at Kauwi Primary School grounds in Kitui West constituency during a Harambee to support AIC churches, the leaders said that they will rally the people to back Raila, a former prime minister, as he seeks to liberate this nation from what they term as poor governance.

The politicians said that they will ensure that the people’s assemblies are functional in the region until the Jubilee administration leaves power.

"The people's assemblies are where the people will meet to express grievances and displeasure with the Jubilee administration and Uhuru's leadership,” he said, as quoted by The Star.

The legislator was accompanied by Machakos woman rep Joyce Kasimbi, her Kitui counterpart Irene Kasalu, Machakos counterpart Joyce Kasimbi, Joshua Kimilu (Kaiti), Thadeus Nzambia (Kilome) and Charles Nguna (Mwingi Central).
