The planned swearing in of NASA leader Raila Odinga is expected to be attended by a delegation from the United Kingdom.
Opposition supporters from the UK on Saturday announced that they will attend the event set for Tuesday at Uhuru Park Nairobi.
NASA-UK Chair, Kivindyo Ndivo, confirmed that a team had been set to represent the region in the Tuesday event.
"The team will leave London in the morning (Sunday) for the Tuesday 30th of January event, they will be carrying our blessings," he said as quoted by the Standard.
Ndivo's assistant George Osore stated that the delegation was traveling all the way to show their solidarity.
"We want to be part of this historical event, Kenya was about to become the first country in Africa to exercise this rare human right of self-determination which is unheard of in the developing world," he said.
The supporters further urged the government to keep off the event.
"In the year of 2018, it is our hope and belief that our nation will be liberated. We in the Diaspora have paid close attention and watched in anguish at the embarrassing revelation of what is now widely regarded around the world as a farcical political system," he said.
Raila is expected to be sworn in on Tuesday alongside Kalonzo Musyoka as the Peoples President and deputy respectively.
