Siaya governor Cornell Rasanga’s re-election bid has received a massive boost after the High Court on Friday quashed a decision by the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal to cancel his nomination.

Rasanga will be vying on an ODM ticket.

Mr Justice Enoch Chacha Mwita set aside the ruling by tribunal which had barred ODM from presenting Mr Rasanga’s name to IEBC.

The Judge directed the party to submit Rasanga’s name to the electoral body.

 “The petitioners made generalised allegations of voter bribery and other electoral malpractices,” he ruled.
