President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto have received a major boost after five members of parliament assured to deliver them the region’s votes during the August election.

The leaders are Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu, Mwingi North’s John Munuve, Regina Ndambuki (Kilome), Rachael Nyamai (Kitui South) and Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town).

Speaking during the Jubilee delegates’ meeting in Kasarani, the leaders expressed optimism that President Uhuru will retain his seat with their massive support from this part of the nation.

Mutambu noted that The National Super Alliance (NASA), which was unveiled on Tuesday, does not have the required number to deliver them victory when that time comes.

According to Mutambu, Jubilee will floor the opposition regardless of the Presidential candidate they are going to present to battle it out for the top seat.

“I am an engineer by training and very good at mathematics. I know two plus three is five and three plus two is five. I know Raila’s votes, Kalonzo’s, Mudavadi’s and everyone’s. I know their numbers and numbers don’t lie,” Mutambu said.

On his part, Munuve lauded Jubilee for constructing roads in Ukambani region. “I represent Kyuso, Muumoni, Tseikuru [Kalonzo’s home area] and Ngomeni and all the people there are in Jubilee,” he said.
