In a bid to provide health services to residents, Uasin Gishu county governor Jackson Mandago led in the launching of Radiology and X-ray Units at the Plateau Mission Hospital in Ainabkoi Sub County on Saturday.
Speaking during the launch of the Unit, Mandago noted the significant benefits the units were going to bring, not only to the residents around but the entire County since the facility will offer Maternal and X-ray services.
The governor further pointed out that the units will bring a great relief to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), which has seen a lot of people rushing there for Radiology and X-ray services.
"This facility has been a great impact and this is opportune it becomes more beneficial," said Mandago.
"So soon activities will kick off at the AEZ Industrial Park which is just a walking distance from this facility and this facility will be of great service for people who will be working there," he added.
The county boss also noted that his Government will ensure elderly people across the County are given full medical coverage under the national insurance, the NHIF.
"By mid this year, we want to see that each and every person in all households in the County is registered under NHIF. This will save us a great deal in getting medical services in all the facilities," said the Jubilee governor.
