Opposition chief Raila Odinga received a major boost in his campaigns on Tuesday following decision by Radio icon Fred Machoka to back him,
Popularly known as Uncle Fred Obachi, he is among the oldest and the most respected Show presenters in the country.
At Gusii stadium, Machoka, who hails from Nyaribari Masaba constituency, backed Odinga’s bid adding that he was fit to lead the nation.
“I am appealing to Kenyans that time has come to make a critical change in our leadership and this is the right time,” he said amid cheers from NASA supporters.
He added: “I have seen this man for many years and I think this is the right time to help him take over. He is the right person for the job.”
His Roga Roga show is popular not only in Kenya but also across East Africa and has hosted a number of celebrities across the world.
