Elders from Borabu Sub County in Nyamira County have lauded interior Cs Fred Matiang’i for his efforts to beef up security in the region.

The elders led by Andrew Okako said since Matiang’i was named the interior Cs, cases of livestock theft have dropped.

“We are happy that our son who is serving as the Interior Cs has helped us end livestock theft. We are expecting zero cases of livestock theft in the next few days. Police officers in the region have obeyed orders given b the Cs to beef security in the region,” said Okako.

Rabera Nyamote the assistant county commissioner Michael Lesmam has also played a major role in the area to ensure no cattle rustler is left to walk free.

“Lesmam has helped us much since he was deployed in the area. We are able to sleep at night because security officers are always on high alert. Our livestock are now safe and no one will steal them,” she stated.

She called on the county and national governments to coordinate well and ensure anyone found stealing cattle is dealt with as by the rule of law.
