Momanyi said he wants to accomplish the remaining work in his constituency to be sure of bloc support when he succeeds the incumbent Governor John Nyagarama.

"Let me finish my work in the constituency as Nyagarama complets his and when he goes home I'll inherit the seat," said Momanyi.

The lawmaker asked his opponents to preach peace and unity as they seek votes from the electorate.

"Respect me when I am in leadership for you will need me to respect you when you ascend to this seat, preach peace and unity because the electorate remains our bosses," added Momanyi.
