The free medical exercise will be hosted by Dr. Nyandoro Kambi Foundation and Meak and Lions Sight First Hospital, and will cover all wards in Borabu constituency.

Speaking to the reporter on Thursday, Nyandoro said the exercise will give opportunity to eye patients to seek sustainable medication treatment from various eye malfunctions.

“My foundation will be giving free eye checkup and treatment to people suffering from eye defects. It’s a worthwhile exercise because many of them are compelled to seek medication in distant places such as Kikuyu Hospital,” he said.

“It’s an honour to invite Borabu people to take advantage of the activity so that they get treatment. We chose Nyansiongo because it’s centrally placed and easily accessible,” Kambi added.

He said his foundation was working on modalities of making it an annual event saying the foundation was still in advanced talks with their partners Lion Eye Hospital.

“We want to make it an annual event so that our people freely access such medications. It’s expensive to get eye treatment but I am confident that our partners will enable us do it on an annual basis,” Kambi said.

Kambi is a front runner in Borabu constituency seat and will battle out with incumbent Ben Momanyi and seasoned politician Patrice Osero.
