The residents are now calling on local community members to volunteer information to the relevant law enforcement officers to smash the syndicate which is threatening local villagers' livestock.

James Onyoni a victim of the syndicate who lost his two goats last week in the odd hours of the night to the thieves is yet to recover his goats since he has not yet received any clue about the suspects behind the theft.

Goat theft victim Onyoni recounted how he woke up in the night to inspect his goats in their shed, only to find them missing.

"I am lost of words since the goats were my only investment and feel taken a back by the theft which has reduced me to zero," lamented Onyoni.

He claimed that there could be a theft syndicate trying to come up in the area without the knowledge of the local communities members and the Police officers on the ground.

The Villagers have called on the local community members to be vigilant and to volunteer information about any suspect to the relevant authorities in case they suspect any for action to be taken before any loss is registered.

This comes after another local resident by the name Isaiah Onyando narrowly lost his goats on Saturday morning to a thief believed to be behind the goats theft syndicate in the area.

The suspect, according to Onyando, thought that everyone had gone to Church for wordship and sneaked into the village to commit the act, but he did not succeed as he was caught in the crime by the owner in the act.

He has since been handed over to Itumbe Police Station in Sameta sub-county waiting to be arraigned in Court.
