Bosire was expected to play host to President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday at Nyangori and Keroka regions, only for the president to cancel the trip at the eleventh hour.

Speaking to the reporter on Sunday, Bosire accused former area MP Walter Nyambati and perennial archrival Shadrack Mose of orchestrating the plan by purchasing whistles for a section of residents to humiliate him in front of the president.

“I have never had issues with our president and everyone knows that. I know Nyambati and Mose purchased whistles with an aim of humiliating me in front of the president but that never worked because the trip was cancelled by the President,” he said.

“They had an aim of portraying me as an anti-development leader and I think they succeed but in reality people know that I am innocent on the matter,” he said.

Bosire urged the president to find time and visit the region to initiate developmental programmes and insisted that being in opposition should not warrant the government to ignore his area of representation.

“The president was hoodwinked by his allies who hate me for nothing and he succumbed to the cheap politics. He should find time and visit the constituency because we also deserve good services,” he added.

Uhuru cancelled the trip following intelligence information that local politics were likely to take center stage during the visit.
