The opposition will resist all attempts to withdraw Kenya from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Saying that the move would drive Kenya to anarchy, ODM’s treasurer and Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire said President Uhuru Kenyatta's push for withdrawal was ill-advised.
Speaking during the Jamhuri Day celebrations on Monday, Kenyatta said the country must consider withdrawing from ICC because the tribunal is biased against Africans.
"Any attempt to withdraw Kenya from the ICC will be resisted because it is an attempt to withdraw into a cage where evil will flourish. We shall never tolerate this," said Bosire on Wednesday.
He added that any civilised mind ready to contribute to changing Kenya to benefit everybody and the world is welcome.
Bosire said the president’s claims that foreigners are funding programmes with the intention of influencing the outcome of the 2017 polls was false.
"The President is trying to tell Kenyans that the world is out to fund the opposition and not the government. This is neither here nor there. It is a sign of panic," he was quoted by the Star.
The ardent opposition leader Raila Odinga supporter said Kenyans are willing to go to any length, constitutionally, to change the regime due to the widespread systems of bad leadership and misuse of public resources.
