Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Treasurer Timothy Bosire has thrown his support behind the planned youth summit in Nyamira dubbed Kikao 046 in which opposition leader Raila Odinga will be chief guest.
This comes amidst reports that a number of leaders from the county have not been formerly invited by county Governor John Nyagarama to the event scheduled December 2nd.
In a text message to the reporter on Sunday, the Kitutu Masaba MP urged youths to own the event by actively participating.
“I wish Nyamira youths well in their preparation for Kikao. It’s their forum to interact and learn of their demanding responsibilities ahead. I expect active participation on real issues affecting them,” he said.
“I also challenge them to set their eyes on leadership by promoting transparency and accountability without fear. I wish all of you success ahead,” he added.
The youth summit is organized by the ODM party in all counties under its leadership to give youths an avenue to question county government leadership on development issues.
